Wow, where to begin. It’s been a long road my friends. Almost a decade ago I slowly started to feel my energy leave me. I’d lay in bed for hours, nights, days, weekends… thinking that if I just rested more, I’d start feeling better. But I didn’t. I kept getting worse. Soon I had trouble driving, had to hold on to walls to walk, had to start wearing earplugs in public to prevent getting overwhelmed and feeling like my brain was shutting down… and I took what I thought would be a hiatus from music to focus on my health. I didn’t know then that hiatus would be as long as it was. I didn’t know that I would lose my singing voice. I didn’t know that it would take doctors a year to discover I had an autoimmune condition and a chronic virus, that it would take me years to regain my energy, and even more years to rehab my voice back and relearn to sing.
Then I moved to Nashville. To start fresh. I found my voice in more ways than one here. I found a new genre. This video tells the story of what’s happened along the way and how it all got poured into my new double single project - Alchemy.
